Add Tasks, Notes, and Events From VueMinder

PrintableCal can import tasks, notes, and events from VueMinder - a full-featured calendar program developed by VueSoft, the makers of PrintableCal.

PrintableCal handles customization and printing of your schedule, but if you're also looking for software that enables you to input your schedule, share your schedule with other people, and get reminders - VueMinder does all that and much more.

To add VueMinder calendar data sources to PrintableCal, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Add Calendar button on the Calendar Data Sources step and select the VueMinder option. The Add Calendar Source - VueMinder window will appear.
  2. Task, note, and event calendars will be listed. Each calendar will have a checkbox to the left of its name.
  3. Use the checkboxes to select the calendars you'd like to make available to PrintableCal.
  4. Click the OK button to add the selected VueMinder calendars to PrintableCal's list of available calendar sources.
  • Hi Nicholas, It's likely the descriptions aren't appearing because there isn't enough space. PrintableCal won't show descriptions if they can't fit completely.

Try changing the "Max rows per day" value to something large (like 50) and check the box labeled "Condense unused rows". Either that, or edit your events to have shorter descriptions. Does that fix it?

  • When choosing the option to show description within items, I only get about half of the descriptions when I import from Vueminder, and a little more (maybe 75%) from Google. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a bug in the programs for which my company just paid a combined $130?

This happens when using PrintableCal both in excel and Word. I've copied a picture of the problem from Excel. As you can see under "Week 2; 9 SVC" there is additional description in that date box; however, there is no description under "Week 3.." or "Week 4..." when there should be.

  • Hi Uri, try this:

    1. Click the "Create Calendar" button on the PrintableCal tab of the ribbon.

    2. Choose the desired template and click Next.

    3. Click Next again after selected the desired template options.

    4. You should see a "Calendar Data Sources" list. At the top of the list there's an "Add Calendar" button. Click that button and then select "VueMinder" to add calendars from VueMinder. See the "Add Calendar Data Source" section in the documentation linked below for more details:

    I hope that helps.

  • I have downloaded / installed PrintableCal to check if it would be useful for Denise. But it is impossible to import data from the VueMinder calendar. There is no " VueMinder calendar data sources" in the PrintableCal plugin and not in the Excel Data tab. Subsequently there is no "Add Calendar" button nowhere.
    Regards,
    Uri
